Coooouple things. So, let’s start with the commercial for Crest Pro Health in which the man in the lab coat is identified as a “Crest Researcher”. The only problem is that 1) I don’t remember seeing any fine print to confirm that said guy is an actor and Z)…this Crest Researcher did a pretty convincing job in that episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent where he gave organs and then killed people when they didn’t live up to their zealous, pre-op plans for the future. I’m not saying he’s not a Crest Researcher. I’m just saying. He’snotaCrestResearcher.

Okay, so the other L&O thing. I was pretty irritated when it began with a dead man who bore a striking resemblance to Jack from this past season of Project Runway. And I know we only saw him postmortem but I’m gonna go out on a limb and assert that, yeah, it’s him. So when, quickly, the episode seemed a bit misdirected and, dare I say, awry, I knew what had happened. The bad joojoo from PR had been transported to what will arguably go down as the worst episode of L&O. I feel like it’s my responsibility to say that whenever I am disappointed with an episode, I turn the channel to ABC or CBS and it puts everything in perspective. So what I’m saying is, for a show that’s head and shoulders above the rest…this episode was only seven times better than the masses. I just feel like it’s definitely connected to the phantom that nearly destroyed Project Runway. The Bill Pullman thing – and I’m not talking about his having aged in record time – was so freakin’ slapped together, you could see the swatches of duct tape liberally used in the completely half-baked dynamic. By the way, Olivia’s the clingy type. We can all tell. That’s just not how it would have gone down. If you haven’t guessed, … I’ve already decided to watch it every time it replays on USA.
